Introduction
Working with clients to understand their ideas and expectations for their sessions is one of the most crucial parts of our collaboration. I can’t deliver what you’re looking for if I don’t ask the right questions. As your photographer, I love asking questions, listening to your thoughts, and offering feedback when needed. These photos and memories are all about you, and I’m here to make that happen!
I’ve worked with many clients, including those who were nervous or camera shy, and that’s never an issue! You don’t need to be anything other than yourself for these photos to shine. I specialize in capturing authentic, genuine moments because those are the ones my clients treasure most. From experience, you want to work with someone who delivers images that truly feel like you.
The Importance of Client Communication
Consultation
A consultation is just us meeting over a video chat or coffee to go over ideas and see what you are looking for in your session. We can bounce ideas for feedback & you are able to ask any questions as well so that we can polish the idea together. I want you to get to know me & how I work so you are able to discern how we work together.
Questionnaire
When we book a consultation, I will email you a questionnaire that needs to be filled in. This is going to help me:
prepare some ideas and get a feel for what you are looking for.
It will let me know what you do and do not want.
determine what package option additions you may be interested in,
assist with any concerns you have
discern any specific requests or ideas for your session
Overcoming Challenges Together
Pre-Session Nerves
As outlined in our consult and the questionnaire we will work together with any nerves you may have on the day of your session! It is new territory for you, but it is not for me and I will be there every step to help.
I like to recommend a playlist sometimes that helps you when you are tense (I am all about the "dance it out" method if you need a dance partner).
Session Nerves
" Four rules for a plan: We make the plan, Execute the plan, Expect the plan to go off the rails, and Throw away the plan!"
We have a plan, but the plan is flexible! If during the session you need a minute or want to talk something out, we do. I always work to try and address these beforehand so we don't cut into your photo time but it happens.
We will work together, every step. The most common misconception is that I am going to put you in the studio and expect you to know how to pose, where to put your arms, or that I won't assist. That can not be further from the truth. I am constantly right there with you helping to pose & demonstrate, chatting with you about life, and making sure I am removing hair ties from your wrists and turning those necklace clasps.
Celebrating Successes
I am your biggest cheerleader!
These sessions are so near and dear to my heart. I am invested in making these images amazing because I want for you to be able to see them in the future and see that genuine connection and person with warmth and love.
Client Testimonials
I pride myself on discretion and privacy. There is an option* to leave a testimonial when I provide your package to you. You are under no obligation to do so. It helps future clients determine if I am a good fit for them and prior experiences other have had with me.
Most clients prefer to speak with me privately about their experiences and how positive it was and that warms my heart as much as a public shout out.
That's a Wrap,
Building strong client relationships is very important to me, and I want to ensure you get everything you're looking for. Even if I’m not the perfect fit for your project and you decide to explore other photographers, my goal is to help refine your ideas and turn them into visuals you’ll be proud to showcase. I’m excited about the opportunity to work with you.
